Quarantine Productivity

We hope these tools help make the current situation a little easier for you.

We published a blog in January titled “ New Year – New You” where we highlighted some of our favorite tools and habits in the creative process… But now we are all working from home so we thought it would be a good time to revisit and highlight what made that transition easier. We hope this helps you.

Slack

Nearly every company, org, and DnD group knows Slack but there are a few unique ways we use this tool that you might find useful! Outside of chat, voice chat, video chat, and group messaging we heavily utilize the Channel functionality.

It allows us to create conversations around just 1 topic or client. We also create channels such as #FinalApproval and #Kudos In #FinalApproval we can ensure our team double and triple checks all work before getting the green light and in WWLF we shout out team members each every week.

Trello

One of the best and most versatile free project tools management out there. A great way to create mood boards, inspiration, sharing ideas, or even just to-do lists. The mobile app is a great companion to the web experience and can allow you to quickly access links, previews, comments, and all other things that make projects move forward.

Coolors

A smart color scheme generator that can easily help identify web and print color options when working with clients or adding in additional accent colors for a unique campaign. With a beautiful UI on both the web and app platform, it’s a great way to get the feel for a color scheme and easily share it with the team.

Zoom Meetings

Zoom has really stolen the show when it comes to quarantine work memes. As a user-friendly video chat program Zoom’s unique grid system really delivers on feeling like the team is actually together. Throw in a healthy dose of custom backgrounds and you have yourself a virtual reality meeting / happy hour filled with serious talks, brainstorms, eye rolls, and belly laughs.

Noisli

Noisli is a web-based background noise and color generator that allows you to have full control over what noises are playing and their volume level. This may sound odd but you can really set the tone of a work session by creating an environment through sound.

Spotify

We love Spotify. In case you’ve noticed, we have shared quite a few playlists throughout the last year and will continue to do so. Music is not only great for productivity but it’s really important for identity and exploration. Being open to new music and hearing what moves and inspires your teammates is a great way to deepen connection and foster creativity.

Grammarly

It’s an online grammar “checker” that can be applied across all programs, not just web. Grammarly really is one of those tools where you don’t notice how much it’s helping until it sends the weekly/monthly recaps of how much content you are producing and what time it has saved you.

1Pass

A password manager, digital vault, form filler and secure digital wallet. This is truly something that every company should empower it’s users with. It helps everyone stay secure, feel secure, and communicate security to clients.

We hope these tools help make the current situation a little easier for you. We encourage everyone to stay home and stay safe as we continue to flatten the curve. We are open our normal hours and would love to digitally chat – whether it’s about a new project, marketing advice, or the new Ikoria set. Say hello!
